Kui Jin

Prof. Kui Jin was born in 1981. He got bachelor’s degree from Wuhan University in 2003 and PhD from Institute of Physics (IOP), CAS in 2008. From 2008 to 2012, he worked as a Research Associate in Department of Physics at University of Maryland, College Park, USA. Thereafter, he joined IOP. He is the group leader and the deputy director of National Lab for Superconductivity in IOP. His group is devoted to synthesizing high quality thin films with unconventional superconductivity and investigating their physics properties via transport measurements as well as advanced combinatorial techniques.
Research Interests:
Searching for new (superconducting) materials by thin films of composition gradient or interface manipulations.
Developing high-throughput thin film techniques including combinatorial laser MBE and fast screening.
Exploring the mechanism of high-temperature superconductivity by constructing multi-dimensional phase diagram as a function of temperature, chemical doping, magnetic field, electrostatic field, etc.
