Liling Sun
Career History
Liling Sun is a Professor in the National Key Laboratory for Superconductivity at Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and a Fellow of American Physical Society. She obtained her Ph. D degree from Institute for Metal Research, CAS in 1994 and then did her postdoctoral fellowship at Institute of Inorganic Material in Japan and Cornell University. She joined the National Key Laboratory since 2005. Prof. Sun received National innovation and National Science & technology prizes. She was also a receiver of the Hu Gangfu Prize in Physics from Chinese Physical Society. She has published over 100 papers in scientific journals, including Nature, PNAS, Nature communications, Physics Review Letters and Advanced Materials etc..


Research interests: 
Her research interests lie in search for new high-Tc superconductors and uncovering related mechanisms, pressure-induced quantum phase transitions in electron correlated systems and effect of pressure on materials with exotic electronic state.
